چکیده

We present preliminary results of a study of ∆S = 2 matrix elements originating from physics beyond the Standard Model. Using 2 + 1 flavour Domain Wall Fermions we obtain the non-perturbative renormalisation (mixing) matrix in the RI scheme. We also discuss plans for the chiral extrapolation of the renormalised matrix elements in a partially quenched setup .

The charm - quark contribution to ε K and ∆

Neutral Kaon mixing plays an important role in the phenomenology of the standard model and its extensions because of its sensitivity to high-energy scales. In particular εK , parameterising indirect CP violation in the neutral Kaon system, serves as an important constraint on models of new physics and is well suited for the indirect search for heavy new particles. In order to exploit this poten...

Anatomy of New Physics in B–B mixing

We analyse three different New Physics scenarios for ∆F = 2 flavour-changing neutral currents in the quark sector in the light of recent data on neutral-meson mixing. We parametrise generic New Physics contributions to Bq−Bq mixing, q = d, s, in terms of one complex quantity ∆q, while three parameters ∆ tt K , ∆ ct K and ∆ cc K are needed to describe K−K mixing. In Scenario I, we consider uncor...

Scaling of BK for 2+1 flavour domain wall fermions from 243 and 323 ×64 lattices

We present preliminary results from a 323 × 64 lattice calculation of the neutral kaon mixing factor BK using 2+1 flavours of Domain Wall fermions, focussing on the chiral extrapolation and non-perturbative renormalisation (NPR) of this quantity and comparing to our previous results obtained from a 243 ×64 lattice. These simulations were performed using the Iwasaki gauge action at two different...

Energy Scale Fields Effective

Rare K decays are an important testing ground of the electroweak flavour theory. They can provide new signals of CP–violation phenomena and, perhaps, a window into physics beyond the Standard Model. The interplay of long–distance QCD effects in strangeness–changing transitions can be analyzed with Chiral Perturbation Theory techniques. Some theoretical predictions obtained within this framework...
